Inspector Mel Dwyer, the Head of the Domestic Family Violence Training Portfolio, Qld Police Service, set out the plans, strategies and trials of co-responder models currently underway in Qld. While on paper they look good, members of the audience questioned whether the QPS has a capability to put them into place without collaborating more broadly with the domestic and sexual violence sectors. The adequacy of the in-house training was also queried. Questions and answers were not recorded. Listen for yourself. What do you think?
